Vocal Troupe
You may be used to a troupe format in a traditional dance studio environment.
Well at TPA and TMTS, our troupes aren’t all about competing.
Troupe for TPA and TMTS is re-imagined. TPA troupes are Performance Troupes, or mini-groups.
As much as we love friendly competition, at TPA we encourage our students to perform as much as possible - we believe this gives students their time to shine without the pressure of competition.
Whether it is a local council event, a showcase or even a corporate booking, our Troupe Members are our first port of call for performances, and we already have several lined up for 2024.
For 2024 TPA and TMTS is continuing with their Vocal Troupe, and have added a Musical Theatre Troupe to the timetable. This troupe will be guided by real, working performers and throughout the year students will not only learn several routines but also have the opportunity for some sensational networking opportunities afforded to troupe members only.
We also recognise some students like to compete, and where possible, we will assist our students and young performers to enter suitable competitions for solo, duo and even trio pieces. At TPA and TMTS, we offer private lessons to help prepare our students to be their best on stage, because even when competing, we truly believe the biggest competition is ourselves - it is all about learning the skills to control nerves, be at ease and really enjoy the stage and all our coaches at TPA are equipped to help our students in this process.

TPA has a large resource of Musical Theatre and Drama Coaches ready to assist with creating the most captivating pieces for competitions, and really assist to put young performers on the completion map with striking pieces of an exceptional calibre, as that is what we do best. However, it doesn’t always need to be about competition and we can simply collaborate with our students to produce a lovely piece for shows, school performances or even work on brushing up skills for auditions.
If you attend a dance studio in addition to TPA as your Drama / Musical Theatre School, we strongly recommend consulting your dance studio with regard to other sections within competitions or can assist you to connect with a fabulous choreographer close to home.
TPA and TMTS have no issue with students representing their dance schools in competitions and often can be seen supporting our dance students in the audience. We absolutely love the opportunity for students to perform and compete and encourage this environment for our competitive dancers.
Vocal Troupe Info:
As with our Musical Theatre Troupe. Vocal Troupe gives our students a chance to be performance. In this class, students will work on a variety of pieces throughout the year for performance and competition opportunities. Please note, students must also be enrolled in Vocal Class to be a part of Vocal Troupe.
